Many inverter customers and even those engaged in the inverter industry do not know what EMC is, and do not know what the relationship between EMC and inverter, perhaps some people think that EMC is not very important thing, it is not too concerned about it. Even some inverter manufacturers do not pay much attention to EMC problems, even if their inverter products do not pass international standards also let it into the market. In fact, EMC and our lives are closely related, many of the problems encountered in life or some phenomena are caused by EMC, those EMC products do not meet the standards will only do evil in people\'s lives, inconvenience to people\'s lives, property losses to people, health hazards. Today, I want to share with you what EMC is.

Inverter EMC

What is EMC?

EMC is short for Electro Magnetic Compatibility. In a more professional way, EMC refers to the ability of a device or system to operate in its electromagnetic environment and not produce unbearable electromagnetic interference to any device in the environment. Therefore, EMC includes two requirements: on the one hand, the equipment can not exceed a certain limit in the normal operation of the electromagnetic interference generated by the environment; on the other hand, the equipment has a certain degree of immunity to electromagnetic interference in the environment, that is, electromagnetic sensitivity. Is this definition too long and difficult to understand? No problem! To sum up with a common saying: the electromagnetic interference produced by an electronic product itself does not affect other products, the external electromagnetic interference also does not affect the normal work of this electronic product. Not interfering with others or being disturbed by others is the essence of EMC.

As mentioned above, EMC includes two aspects. One aspect is that the electromagnetic interference produced by the electronic product itself can not exceed a certain limit. This aspect refers to the content of EMI. This aspect also includes four items: RE (Radiated Emission), CE (Conducted Emission), Harmonic, Flicker. On the other hand, the electronic product itself has some anti-interference ability, and it will not be interfered by other products. This aspect refers to the content of EMS, which includes seven items, namely, RS (Radiated Susceptibility), CS (Conducted Susceptibility), ESD, Surge, EFT (Electrical fast transient / burst immunity test), DIPs (Voltage dips, short interruptions and voltage variations), and short time. Interruption and voltage slow change, PMF (Power Frequency Magnetic Field Immunity) power frequency magnetic field immunity.
