The answer is: No.
From the perspective of a low frequency solar inverter's structure: When starting up, the internal components, including the mainboard, driver board, display panel, and the inverter's IGBT driver power supply, all draw power directly from the battery pack.
When the battery is disconnected, even with mains power, these components will not start due to a lack of driver power. Even with a bypass output function, mains power cannot start the inverter and power the load.
The battery pack is the heart of the solar inverter. Without battery power, the inverter's control board and inverter driver components are paralyzed.
Why isn't the design designed to operate without battery?
1. Using battery to power the control circuit is the simplest and most reliable design solution. The battery itself acts as a large "capacitor," providing extremely stable low voltage DC and isolating the control system from interference from mains power fluctuations.
2. The core value of a low frequency online solar inverter lies in providing uninterrupted, clean, and stable AC power. Removing the battery completely negates these core capabilities of "uninterruptibility" and "backup." Relying solely on bypass mode cannot provide adequate power quality protection.
The design and normal operation of a low frequency solar inverter is highly dependent on the battery pack. Without battery, it cannot perform its basic power conversion and output functions, even when powered by mains electricity. Furthermore, its purpose as an uninterruptible power supply is lost.
