In South American countries like Honduras, Venezuela, Colombia, and Mexico, electricity prices from the national grid differ between day and night. Electricity consumption is higher during the day, resulting in higher prices, while consumption is lower at night, leading to lower prices. Therefore, users want solar inverters that can be set to: during the day, for example, from 8 am to 6 pm, continuously use solar or battery power, without using grid power; and at night, for example, from 6 pm to 7 am, continuously use grid power while simultaneously charging the battery.
On another front, in South America, loads below 2KW use 110VAC, while loads above 2KW use 220VAC. As residential users add family members or move to larger houses, their household loads increase, and they desire solar inverters with expansion capabilities: the ability to directly connect another inverter of the same model in parallel to power the new load, without needing to purchase a larger inverter.
